Monthly Message to Families:

Gratitude in Action: Recognizing Those Who Support Our Students

Staff Appreciation Week is May 4 to May 8. It gives us a chance to recognize the people who show up for our children day after day in big and small ways. Every person in Middletown City Schools plays a part in helping children learn and grow. Classrooms, buses, offices, cafeterias, and hallways all contribute to the experience our students have each day. It truly takes a village to educate a child, and that village depends on the commitment of people who often go above and beyond without recognition. Extra time, quiet encouragement, and problem-solving behind the scenes shape MCSD in powerful ways, and those efforts matter more than words can fully express.

I encourage our families and community members to reach out during the month of May to someone within our Middletown Schools community who has made a difference. A simple thank you, a thoughtful note, or a small gesture can go a long way in letting our staff know they are appreciated.

End-of-the-year celebrations are approaching quickly, and students will soon head into summer carrying memories of the adults who supported them along the way. Many will miss those daily connections. Success in education depends on all of us working together. Thank you for helping us recognize and appreciate the people who care for your children each and every day.
