Register for Kindergarten at Middletown City Schools

Step 1: Enroll Online here
Step 2: Finish Enrollment in person
- Only a custodial parent or legal guardian can officially enroll a student.
- Parent of guardian must be present at the time of enrollment. The student does not need to be present.
- You can register at the enrollment center (One Donham Plaza, 4th Floor) from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. Please note, the Enrollment Center is closed for lunch daily from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm. (The last enrollment prior to lunch will be accepted no later than 11:30 a.m. Enrollment Center reopens at 1:00 p.m.)

Step 3: Document Verification (bring these with you when you finish enrollment)
- Parent/Guardian Photo ID
- Student birth certificate
- Student immunization/shot record
- Current proof of residency (Must be a CURRENT Utility Bill, Lease, or Mortgage Statement)
- Custody documents (if applicable)

March 4, 4 - 6 p.m. @ Rosa Parks Elementary

March 17, 4 - 6 p.m. @ Mayfield Elementary

March 25, 4 - 6 p.m. @ Creekview Elementary

April 8, 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. @ ELC

April 23, 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. @ ELC

Finish Registration In-Person at our Enrollment Office:

March 2 - Summer: during business hours

Age Requirement:

To qualify for the following school year, students must be five years old on or before the first day of school that year (Aug. 14 for the 2026-2027 school year.) The student must reside within the school district boundaries on a full-time basis with their custodial parent or court-appointed legal guardian. Those students shall contact the District Enrollment for further assistance, at (513) 423-0781.

In limited and specific circumstances a Kindergarten student may be eligible for an early entrance or a delayed entrance into kindergarten. An application for early entrance to Kindergarten must be completed and approved before registering your child. If your child's 5th birthday falls between August 15 and January 1, you can apply for early entry. Please see the Student Services Manual, Section I, and Section IV for more information.

2026-2027 Early Entrance Kindergarten Testing

A reminder that children must be 5 by the first instructional school day for kindergarten in Middletown City Schools, August 14th. This form is to be completed by parents/legal guardians requesting testing for early admission into Kindergarten, for those children turning 5 AFTER August 14th. After submission, a representative from the Curriculum Department will contact you to schedule a testing appointment and discuss details surrounding the assessments. Thank you.
