Middletown students will begin the 2026-2027 school year according to the following staggered schedule. This staggered model helps put teachers and students in a smaller group setting and accelerate relationship building.

Kindergarten:

Kindergarten testing will occur in their school on the days leading up to their first days of school. Kindergarten will begin the year over a two-day period based on the first letter of their last name.

Friday, August 14 - Kindergarten testing (details to be provided by each school)

Monday, August 17 - Kindergarten testing (details to be provided by each school)

Tuesday, August 18 - Kindergarten testing (details to be provided by each school)

Wednesday, August 19 - First day of kindergarten, only last names A-L

Thursday, August 20 - First day of kindergarten, only last names M-Z

Friday, August - First day that all kindergarten students will attend together

Grades 1-12:

Students in grades 1-12 will begin the year over a two-day period based on the first letter of their last name.

Friday, August 14 - First day for students in grades 1-8, only last names A-L
First day for 9th grade students

Monday, August 17 - First day for students in grades 1-8, only last names M-Z
First day for 10th-12th grade students

Tuesday, August 18 - First day that all students in grades 1-12 will attend together
