JUNE 4: Vaccination Clinic for Ages 12 and Up

Through our partnership with the City of Middletown Health Department, we are offering students ages 12 and up a voluntary Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccination clinic. If you and/or your student is interested in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, you must pre-register on or before May 28. You will then receive a parental consent form that must be signed and brought to the clinic. Students planning to get their first dose of Pfizer's COVID vaccine must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Earlier this year, Journal-News Staff Writer Michael D. Clark wrote about a Middletown Middle School student--who is hearing impaired--and how she taught herself to play the piano during the pandemic. A group of Middletown residents read his article and knew they had to do something about her lack of a real piano. The group is the Middletown RAK (Random Acts of Kindness) and they’re an anonymous organization that chooses one person or entity a month and bestows upon them a gift of kindness.

My heart breaks writing this letter informing the Middletown City School District of the tragic loss of one of our Rosa Parks Elementary students, James Hutchinson. During this difficult time, I know our Middie Family will lean on one another while our community mourns.
