Middletown City Schools Announces Assistant Director of Human Resources

Middletown City School District (MCSD) Board of Education named Kee Edwards, the current principal at Miller Ridge Elementary, as the Assistant Director of Human Resources. This is a new position. 

Edwards, a Middletown High School graduate, has worked at MCSD for the past 24 years, most recently as the principal at Miller Ridge Elementary. Edwards began his teaching career at Taft Elementary teaching 2nd grade. As he transitions over to the Assistant Director of Human Resources role, he will work alongside Deborah Houser, Assistant Superintendent. Houser, former Senior Director of Human Resources was named Assistant Superintendent in March.

“I’m really excited for the opportunity to further my skills with Middletown and continue to do my part to help Middletown be the best we can be. I’m most excited for the opportunity to create new partnerships to help Middletown succeed,” said Edwards.

Edwards earned both his Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education from Alabama A&M University, his Masters of Education in Educational Leadership from Miami University, and his Superintendent License from Miami University.

Mr. Edwards is a known commodity, a lifelong Middie, and we’re just thrilled to have him in the HR capacity and we’re beyond happy he’s going to stay a Middie,” said Chris Urso, MCSD Board of Education President.
