Middletown City Schools Welcomes Meggie Bierkan as New Communications Administrator

Middletown City Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Meggie Bierkan as the district’s new Communications Administrator.
“Meggie’s talents will help us continue to build strong, transparent relationships with our families, staff, and greater Middletown community. We’re excited for the creativity and enthusiasm she will bring to MCSD and look forward to the powerful stories she’ll help us tell,” said Deborah Houser, MCSD Superintendent.
Bierkan brings more than a decade of experience in education to her new role. She most recently served as a high school art teacher at Lebanon City Schools for 11 years. Before that, she taught at Lebanon Junior High School and Bethel-Tate High School. Beyond the classroom, she coached cross country and track for seven years, led student council, and advised the high school yearbook staff, demonstrating a deep commitment to student engagement and leadership.
A resident of Lebanon, Bierkan lives with her husband, Mark, and their two sons, Chase and Joey.
“Being involved in athletics and academics beyond the classroom has given me opportunities to work with different groups of students, advisers, staff and administrators,” Meggie Bierkan said. “As I transition into my role with Middletown City Schools, I am excited to serve as an advocate and storyteller for the incredible things happening in our schools and programs every day. I look forward to meeting and working with the great staff and students at Middletown City Schools to share the amazing news of what is happening in the district.”
