Middletown City School District today announced Ms. Charity Goode, current dean of students at Fairview PreK-6th in Dayton Public Schools, as the new Rosa Parks Elementary assistant principal. The Middletown Board of Education (BOE) approved Goode’s hire at Monday’s BOE meeting.

“I want to welcome Charity Goode to Middletown City Schools as our new Rosa Parks Elementary assistant principal,” said Deborah Houser, HR Director at MCSD. “As we start the expansion of Rosa Parks Elementary, Ms. Goode will be a key part of the process and she’ll be fully integrated into the school when we open the new wing in August 2021.”

As an experienced school administrator, Goode has spent the past 15 years in Dayton, OH at the Dayton Leadership Academies (2004-2015) and the Dayton Public Schools (2015-present) with roles as teacher, athletic director, and dean of students. When she was not in a classroom or in her office, you could find Goode collaborating with colleagues on the Building Leadership Teams or working with a school’s community to plan a shared vision of student success.

“I am excited for the year ahead as we anticipate the building expansion project at Rosa Parks breaking ground! The dedication to families and forward thinking within the Middletown School District are qualities that provide confidence and opportunity for our students. I am very thankful to be a part of the Rosa Parks family and look forward to an amazing year ahead!” said Goode.

As the new Rosa Parks Elementary assistant principal, Goode will work with Ms. Tracy Neeley who took over as Rosa Parks Elementary principal this spring. Neeley was the assistant principal and interim principal. Goode earned her Bachelor of Arts in Multi-Age Physical Education from Cedarville (College) University, a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Dayton, and gained her Principal Licensure from the University of Dayton.
