Middies Around the World Event Held at MMS
The second Middies Around the World event was a beautiful celebration of the rich cultures and backgrounds that make up our Middie family! With more than 30 countries and cultures represented, our community came together for an unforgettable evening filled with art, dance, music, and food from around the globe.
The gym was filled with hands-on activities including face painting, kite decorating, build-your-own maracas, coloring sheets, and scratch art paper creations. Guests were welcomed by wonderful musical performances from the MMS Choir, MMS/MHS Orchestra, and MHS student Mia Garrido at the beginning of the evening. Staff and community volunteers served a delicious meal featuring paella from Spain, egg rolls and crab rangoon from China, and tres leches cake representing Latin America.
Colorful display boards showcasing cultures, countries, and traditions lined the perimeter of the gym and sparked meaningful conversations throughout the night. Thank you to everyone who helped make this cultural showcase such a success. We are proud to celebrate the diversity that makes Middletown such a special place to learn and grow together!
