MCSD Honored with 20th Anniversary Award from Adopt A Class
Middletown City School District (MCSD) is the proud recipient of the 20th Anniversary Award from Adopt A Class (AAC). MCSD was presented the award during AAC's 2024 Celebration Breakfast at the Duke Energy Convention Center.
The 20th Anniversary Award is given to an organization that has made a significant impact to the AAC mission through leadership and commitment.
MCSD is the first school district in Butler County and the first school district outside of the I-275 loop to partner with the non-profit. In a written statement, AAC says MCSD has been integral to the organization's expansion and continues to lead the way in collaboration and excellence in partnership as a district partner.
AAC connects businesses, local government, and civic groups with students at schools in underserved communities. Through this partnership, students interact with professionals from various fields, gain real-world insights, and cultivate essential skills that extend beyond the classroom. Mentor teams expose students to a breadth of experiences and training to be job and career-ready.

Receiving the 20th Anniversary Award underscores how AAC's model aligns with MCSD's commitment to the Passport to Tomorrow Strategic Vision, which guarantees every student is ready for a career, college, military, and life after high school.
Passport to Tomorrow empowers students to begin thinking about their potential career interests as early as kindergarten while honing in on their skills as they move through career awareness, career exploration, and career planning.
