Drew Speas Named Young Teacher of the Year by the Ohio String Teachers Association (OSTA)

We’re proud to celebrate Drew Speas, orchestra teacher at Middletown Middle School, for being named Young Teacher of the Year by the Ohio String Teachers Association (OSTA)! 

 

This award recognizes outstanding new string teachers across Ohio who create supportive, innovative learning environments that foster student growth in both public school orchestra programs and private studios. Drew exemplifies this excellence every day through her dedication, passion, and positive impact on students.

 

Although Drew was unable to attend the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) Conference, her award was proudly accepted on her behalf by colleague Corey Hall, Middletown High School Orchestra Teacher.

 

We were thrilled to celebrate Drew right here at MMS by visiting her classroom, where Principal Michael Valenti presented her with the award surrounded by her students—a special moment to honor an incredible teacher and role model. 

 

Congratulations, Drew! Your Middie family is so proud of you—and we look forward to seeing your talented students take the stage at 7:00 p.m. on February 24th for their Orchestra Concert!
