To Ms. Davis, #MiddieRising means “regardless of where you come from or the choices you've made or the experiences that you’ve had, that you always have that choice to rise above it and be a better person than you were yesterday--just like this reminder that life can be really tough, but so can you.”

Brad Fletcher, P.E. Teacher at Amanda Elementary

Before warm-ups, Mr. Fletcher starts each class off with the Middletown Fight Song: "So they know when you hear the Middie Fight Song, you don't sit down you stand up and clap as loud as you can and you get going!" Mr. Fletcher is also a 2006 MHS graduate! "Once a Middie, Always a Middie" #ThisIsWe #MiddieRising

While Ms. Alcorn was in college, she volunteered at Miller Ridge Elementary and fell in love with the staff, students, and #MiddieRising culture. Ms. Alcorn's teaching super power is making connections with the students! We couldn't agree more!

Jennifer Jantausch, Central Academy

In her 23 years of teaching, Ms. Jantausch has spent every year with Middletown City Schools and Central Academy! The friendly environment is why she chose Middletown and why she's stayed with our district. This year, Ms. Jantausch says there is an energy flowing through our district that has not been here before and it's starting to catch in the community!

"I hope the students in my care--really any students here at our building--leave knowing that they are loved, they are valuable, they have a voice, they are capable of anything, and that they are my reason and they are my why."
