Student orientation will be on August 19: 6th Grade at 10:00 a.m. and 7th Grade at 11:00 a.m. This gives our new students a chance to come and tour our building and meet some of our staff.

Below is a calendar of events for the first few weeks of school:

8/20    First Day of School - Our first bell is 7:50 which allows students to go to their lockers. At 8:00 a.m. the tardy bell rings and our day begins.

8/26   Verity PTO Open House at 6:30 p.m.
9/1    No School - Labor Day Holiday
9/2    Begins our fall fundraiser - Cookie Dough
9/4    PTO Meeting at 6:30 p.m. - I hope you can attend. Your involvement is key to our students future.
9/9    Fall Picture Day - Very important that all the students get their picture taken. This will give each student an                         I.D.card which will be used for lunches.
9/10   Early Dismissal at 2:00 p.m.
9/24   Early Dismissal at 2:00 p.m.
9/26   1st Quarter Interim Grades are mailed home.
9/30   Parent/Teacher Conferences 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
10/2   Parent/Teacher Conferences 3:15 - 6:15 p.m.

As you can see we have a lot going on within the first few weeks of school. I hope that your student has a very successful year and that you, as parents, would join us in supporting their future.
