Attention Parents
Important Message Regarding Dismissal
New Office Policy:
Due to the high volume of calls regarding student dismissal from school, it is crucial that we have a policy in place. The following changes must be made to help us be more efficient in the office. Starting March 15th the following policies will be enforced:
1.        Students who are being picked up will not be called down to the office until their ride arrives.
2.        Any parent picking students up after 3:00 pm will need to sign the student out, get a visitors pass and go to their class to get them.
3.        Any change in student dismissal must be received by 1:00 pm.   If not we will send students home their normal way.
It is imperative that at the end of the day we do not have parents park in the bus pick up area. We had a near fatal accident and we need your help to avoid serious injury. We are asking that parents who park on Minnesota encourage your child/children to use the sidewalk and not cross the parking lot. Once a child is hit it will be too late. Thank you for your cooperation with this matter.
Important Dates:
a.        An important election is coming on May 4. Please register to vote. You can pick up registration forms in the main office.
b.        Voter registration is from now until April 5th.
c.        OAA dates are as follow for grades 3-5: Reading April 20th, Math April 22nd, and Science April 27th.
d.        Terra Nova Testing for grades 1-3: April 19th Reading, Math April 21st, and Writing April 23rd.
e.        Awards Assembly March 26th: KG-2 9:15 and 3-5 10:15
As we get closer and closer to testing time it is necessary that students are here everyday on time. Please be patient with us as we attempt to improve our dismissal procedures. Please update your parent contact information so that you may receive all school announcements.
