Profile

Rosa Parks Elementary is located on the southwestern side of the Middletown City School District at 1210 South Verity Parkway.   Rosa Park serves students in grades Pre-K-5 in a brand new spacious building with state of the art classrooms.   We currently have a staff of 45 teachers, 19 K-5 regular education classes, 3 special education units, 4 sections of half day preschool and full-time Fine Arts (Art, Music, & P.E.) teachers provide instruction to students in all-day Kindergarten and 1st through 5th grades.



Along with a dedicated staff Rosa Parks offers many programs and services for our students.


Programs:

3 sections of all day Kindergarten

4 Reading Diagnosticians that serve 64 students with a half day reading intervention.

4 second grade teachers that reduce the class size down 20:1.

Rosa Parks Fly High Dance Team.

Free breakfast program for all students.

Full time Librarian.


Tutors

A Student Assistance Program (SAP) works to support students who are having difficulties in the classroom. Students are referred to SAP by teachers and parents at which time the SAP team convenes to learn more about the child and brainstorm strategies to help support their success in the classroom.
