Dear Parents:

I hope your family had a great holiday season. The snow is starting to play havoc in our daily schedule around here, but we have made it through half of the school year without any disruptions! I encourage you to listen to the local news reports each morning to see if the weather has affected our regular schedule. I will also do my best to put a message on the phone to give you any updated information regarding delays or closings. It is important that we have updated emergency information from you in case we have to do an early dismissal after the students are here. The safety of each student is very important!

We have two Early Dismissals scheduled for this month. They are January 13th & 27th.   Students will be dismissed at 2:45 on both days.

The next PTO meeting is Thursday, January 14th at 6:30 in the Library. I do want to thank the PTO for sponsoring the Santa Shop before the Winter Break. The students were able to buy some nice gifts for their family and friends at a very reasonable price.

School will not be in session on Monday, January 18 due to observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday.

Yearbook orders are now being taken. Order forms were sent home in December with all students. If you need a new one, let us know. This year's book will take on a new look. It will be in color! We will also include more pages filled with pictures of students. The cost is $15. Make your check payable to Lifetouch. The deadline is January 29.

January is School Board Recognition Month. This is a time to show our appreciation and to begin to better understand how school board members work together to provide leadership for our schools.   I want to thank our Board members for the work they do to help make our community a better place. The Board members are: Marcia Andrew, President; John Sauter, Vice-President; Rev. Greg Tyus; Katie McNeil; and Chris Fiora.

Mark your calendar for Tuesday, February 9th at 6:00 p.m. We will have our next Family Fun Night. More information will be sent home as that date approaches.

Spring Pictures will be taken on Friday, February 19.
