Profile
Middletown High School is a campus of 46.5 acres. The main building consists of 79 air-conditioned classrooms, an industrial arts lab, home economics lab, and 4 computer technology labs. The fine arts wing includes an air-conditioned theater that seats 800, along with drama, vocal and instrumental facilities. The entire high school complex is scattered around the city with the Tiger Ellison training complex next door adjacent to Manchester Technical Center; Barnitz Stadium, the Middies' Football Field is located on South Main Street; and Wade E. Miller Gymnasium, the home basketball facility is a part of the Vail Middle School complex at 1415 Girard Ave.

Middletown High School was chartered in 1849 and has been a member of the North Central Accrediting Association since 1908. The school serves more than 1800 students in grades 9-12, offering a comprehensive program as well as vocational opportunities.

Students in grades nine through twelve can take courses for both high school and college credit. This opportunity, called post-secondary options is readily available across the street from the main campus at the Miami University (M.U.M) campus, and many students take advantage of this opportunity.

Middletown High's competent and experienced staff, work well with the high school administrative team to create a building climate that enhances learning. This attitude is reflected in the opportunities offered to Middie graduates this year. The graduates were offered in excess of four million dollars in college academic, athletic scholarships and awards. Sixty eight percent of the graduating class of 2007 plan to attend post high school educational opportunities at sixty-four colleges, universities, or educational institutions beyond high school.
