New State Tests to Replace Ohio Achievement Assessments
During the 2014-2015 school year, most Ohio students in grades 3-8 will take a new and different set of state achievement tests that are based on Ohio’s New Learning Standards. The standards and new tests both reflect higher expectations for what students should know and be able to do in math, English language arts, science and social studies. The new tests also will better measure what students have learned and what they can do with their knowledge.

Ohio law mandates children have certain immunizations (shots) for school attendance
Be sure students have all required shots as we prepare to begin school. Those students not presenting evidence of having received the booster dose by August 29th, 2014 will be excluded from school and not allowed to return until the record is received.

Ohio law mandates children have certain immunizations (shots) for school attendance. All students entering grade 7-10 must have a record at school of having received a booster dose of the Tdap/TD before entry into school. This is the adult vaccine booster for Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis.
