Creekview Elementary is Going Green

Fourth Graders are taking an active part in the community by starting and implementing a recycling program at Creekview in conjunction with the Butler County Recycling & Solid Waste District. Students had to write a persuasive letter to their teachers and explain why they should be apart of the Green Team. Air Products and Chemicals donated safety vest for the Green Team to wear. Students distributed the recycling bins to each classroom and work as team to collect recycled materials. Creekview is currently recycling paper products and will be exploring other items to recycle as the year progresses. In addition, the

Green Team will be creating a video that will educate the school community about recycling. The Green Team will also begin to keep track of how many pounds or tons of material is recycled at school by analyzing the data.
