Dear Middletown City School District Parents and Community Members,
As many of you may know, I will be retiring as the Middletown City Schools Superintendent on July 31, 2017, after 38 years as an educator. It has been a wonderful ride over the years. I would not trade my experiences or memories for any other profession. It is my passion to make a difference in the life of an individual, either a child or an adult. An individual’s passion doesn’t retire, it just changes form.
I have been honored to serve in this capacity as the superintendent of Middletown City Schools for the past four years. I have grown so much, professionally and personally. The great relationships that have been established will always be treasured. The progress the district has seen in the areas of facilities, finance/budget and strategic planning will pave the way for academic success for each student.
Finally, I am encouraged by what I see with the District Strategic Planning and how that will take us into the future by providing the opportunity for all stakeholders to have a valuable say in a child’s education. The Middletown City Schools and Middletown Community/City leaders have a strong and collaborative working relationship. This relationship makes for an involved community which offers the opportunities for a happy and successful life. I do wish the best for our students, staff, community and school district. I believe many great things will come in the future.
