The Department of Student Services at Middletown City Schools is dedicated to ensuring that students with disabilities receive the educational services and supports that will allow them to meaningfully engage in the general education curriculum. Students who meet the requirements for special education services as determined by the Ohio Department of Education receive services as outlined in their Individual Educational Program (IEP). The services and supports offered support the district’s mission of helping all students succeed. These services are offered to school aged students between the ages of three years to twenty one. Students who do not qualify for special education services may be eligible for certain services under a Section 504 Plan.
Each school in the Middletown City School District offers a full continuum of educational supports and early intervention services to provide students with a free and appropriate public education. To find out if your child may be eligible for services, please contact your school.
